Gamin Chair Reviews: The Gioteck RC5
Any gamer that takes the hobby seriously will have a gaming chair. They’re brilliant, and the right one can enhance your gaming experience massively. Today, we’re going to be reviewing one of the most popular entry-level gaming chairs, Gioteck RC5.
This chair offers many of the most innovative and fun features you would expect from a gaming chair and it delivers them in a relatively cheap, but high tech fashion. Gioteck is a brand that gamers associated with quality, stamina, innovation, and durability, and we are going to explore whether the RC5 surround-sound gaming chair lives up to the brand’s reputation.
The Design
The Gioteck RC5 professional gaming chair only comes in one colour, black with red trim. As any of you who are into fashion can testify, this is a classic colour that exudes style and sophistication. You can’t go wrong with black, and Gioteck certainly get it right.
As well as the colour, it also has a Formula 1 racing car appearance. For this reason, it’s particularly suited to those of you that play games like “Grand Theft Auto” and “Need for Speed”.
The Feel
To the touch, the RC5 has a similar feel to leather, with a fabric patch in the middle of the back (as you'd expect from a gaming chair). In terms of comfort, the chair is very well padded – allowing you to sit and relax for at least half a day. Much like a desk chair, it’s fully adjustable, allowing you to lift the seat up and down and to lean the back forward or back.
The Technology
The RC5 is awesome, but our favourite feature is the rumble subwoofer, for bass and vibration feedback. Here, you feel the action in your chair, as you engage in high action gaming, your chair reflects the environment. Whether you’re tearing it up in “Grand Theft Auto” or saving the world in “Deus Ex: Mankind Divided”, the seat helps to make you feel as if you're there for real.
As well as that awesome subwoofer, the chair has built-in surround speakers, providing you with a 3D soundscape and further facilitating that immersive-gaming feel.
The RC5 is compatible with a massive range of gaming set ups, including PS3 & 4, Xbox 360 & One, PC, and Nintendo Wii U. It’s also compatible with various audio and visual devices, including MP3, TVs, and DVDs.
Weighing It Up
This is a fantastic chair. It offers everything you need from an entry-level gaming chair and it delivers it in style and comfort. The chair is hardwearing and high quality, ensuring years of fun. It’s relatively lightweight and easily adjustable, thereby making it one of the most practical chairs on the market.
There’s very little to say in terms of any negative features of the chair. Some people complain that the speakers don’t get loud enough, but unless you play your music exceptionally loud, you won’t notice it.
To sum up, this is a fantastic gaming chair and great for anyone looking for a cost-effective but well-performing chair. No wonder it’s so popular.
